The LIL Lab is located on UC San Diego’s main campus, on the second floor of the Social Sciences Research Building (SSRB), Rm 213.
For our in-lab studies, we offer free parking for families. A researcher will come meet you in the parking lot to bring you up to our lab. Enter “UCSD Craft Center” (9605 Scholar’s Dr. North) and follow the driving directions. The directions will take you to the Scholars Drive Parking lot. You can enter through the South end of the parking garage, the entrance directly after the building with an orange facade (marked with “P” on the map below). Upon entering, you should find yourself on the first floor, B1. Immediately turn right, and our lab’s reserved spot will be on your left, past the EV spots. The spot is labeled #916 on the ground.

From I-5 South
Take Exit 29 for Genesee Avenue. Turn right off of the exit and continue up Genesee Avenue to the top of the hill. Once at the top, turn left onto North Torrey Pines Road. Next make a left onto La Jolla Shores Drive (~1 mile), and then make an immediate left onto Scholars Drive South. Scholars Drive South will turn right and become Muir Lane after a quarter mile. Continue for a short while before turning left into the parking garage (you should see a sign for parking). Make the first right turn, continue past the EV parking spaces, and park in space #916, which is on the right side. A researcher will be there to meet you!
From I-5 North
Take Exit 28B for La Jolla Village Drive. Turn left at La Jolla Village Drive. You will pass the main entrance to campus. The road will bend to the north and become N. Torrey Pines Rd. Continue on N. Torrey Pines Rd. until you come to a light at La Jolla Shores Drive. Turn right on La Jolla Shores Drive, then make an immediate left onto Scholars Drive South. Scholars Drive South will turn right and become Muir Lane after a quarter mile. Continue for a short while before turning left into the parking garage. Make the first right turn, continue past the EV parking spaces, and park in space #916, which will be on the right side. A researcher will be there to meet you!
